Conference Attendee Accounts
Faculty/staff that coordinate conferences and workshops held at
UWSP may request computer access for the event attendee's. This
includes events such as, Suzuki, Wellness or a workshop held in a
computer lab, etc. Certain restrictions may apply depending on the
needs for the event.
Attendees at conferences at UWSP have access to the following
computer services:
Equipment
If you need equipment for a presentation you are doing as part of a
conference, please make arrangements with the
Conference and Reservations office ahead of time. If you are
using equipment hooked up to the UWSP Network, you may need a logon to
get connected.
Help Desk
Technology questions that cannot be answered by a
conference/workshop organizer can be directed to the
Information Technology Help Desk.
Logon ID
Conference attendee accounts will have access to certain computer
locations and resources throughout the university. Conference
organizers will distribute the particular information that is
applicable to attendees. Logons are not granted to minors and a
picture ID is required. Individual accounts are not to be shared
with others.
To request accounts for conferences and workshops, organizers
should contact the
Postmaster. If the event is being held in a computer lab and a
logon is required contact the
Lab Manager.
Phone Service in the Residence Hall Rooms
If you want to use UWSP phone services while you are on campus,
visit the
Telephone Office web page and click on "Visitors" for more
information.
Printing
Printers in the public computer labs are for currently enrolled
students only. The Main Circulation Desk located in the Library, and Printing
and Design in the basement of the Science building will
print documents for visitors for a fee.
UWSP Web
The extensive UWSP Web Site is
available from anywhere you have Internet access.
Wireless Internet Access
To access the wireless network visit one of the locations listed
below and connect your device to the wireless network called “UWSP_Guest”:
(Note: you do NOT need a logon to access the wireless network in
these locations.)

After you have successfully connected, wireless will be available
on all floor levels of these locations.
Please visit the Help
Desk located in Learning Resource Center 023, or the
ResNet Office located in the Dreyfus
University Center 203 with your device, if you are having
difficulties getting connected.
Please contact the ResNet Office
if you need
assistance connecting to the Internet from your residence hall
room.
Wellness and Suzuki Conferences
Extended services are available to Wellness and Suzuki conference
attendees.
