Dear Graduate
School Applicant: Thank you for your
interest in our graduate program. This letter summarizes the
application process. Please see our application link on our website at
https://www.uwsp.edu/CommD/
for specific information. You may also request a paper application
packet by emailing Mrs. Chris Zinda at
czinda@uwsp.edu . Each application
is reviewed by members of our School of Communicative Disorders (SCD)
if it meets our application requirements.
The due date for all application materials is Thursday, January
11, 2012. I encourage you to send your application to the SCD via
delivery confirmation mail or certified mail. If your application to
the School of Communicative Disorders arrives before the deadline, we
will contact you if any materials are missing. We will not contact you
if we do not have an application to our department. Please do not call
or email to check the status of your application in January. We
process 120-150 applications each cycle and it is not possible to
respond to status check inquires during this time. If you are an
international student, please let us know immediately and special
instructions will be sent to you. An international student must submit
an application to the International Students and Scholars Office. If you wish to be
considered for a SCD graduate assistantship, please submit the
assistantship application with your other application materials. Because the
application is your
responsibility, please begin the process as soon as you can.
It may be helpful to inform those who are writing letters of
recommendation for you of the January 11, 2012 deadline. Please refer
to the check list of required application materials and use it to
monitor the submission of your application materials.
Current tuition
and fee information can be obtained at

about loans or other sources of aid, visit the Financial Aid Office at
http://www.uwsp.edu/finance/
or contact them at 715-346-4771. Again, thank you
for your interest in our program.
You are welcome to visit our facility, meet with me and other
SCD faculty and staff, or visit with current students.
If you have questions concerning the application process or the
program, please do not hesitate to call me at 715-346-4657 or e-mail
me at Julia.King@uwsp.edu . Sincerely, Dr. Julia King Julia King, Ph.D. Coordinator of Graduate Programs |
