Infusing EE into Teacher PDPs

Teachers in Wisconsin develop Professional Development Plans (PDP) to renew their teaching license(s). A PDP is based on planned professional growth and evidence of the effect of that growth on student learning. A PDP has four main steps in the process (reflection, writing the plan, annual review of the plan, and documentation of the completed plan).

The WCEE has developed PDP samples that illustrate how environmental education can be infused into teacher PDPs. The samples have been reviewed by educators and a representative from the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for accuracy and relevancy.
