Zoning Workshop for Boards of Adjustment/Appeals
Thursday, January 26, 2012, Neenah Public Library, Shattuck Room, Neenah, WIThe upcoming morning workshop in Neenah is designed for zoning board members. In addition to zoning board of adjustment and appeals members, zoning staff, plan commission members, realtors, county board members and other interested persons are also encouraged to attend. The workshop includes a presentation about the roles and responsibilities of zoning board members, and interactive exercises including a scenario about whether to grant a variance, and a round table discussion about zoning board hearings and decision-making.
Wednesday, December 14, 2011, Comfort Suites 1951 Bond St, Green Bay, WI, Brown Co.The upcoming workshop in Green Bay is designed for zoning board members with some experience and will have a number of interactive exercises including round table discussions, a mock BOA hearing, a presentation about appeal of zoning board decisions by a County Corporation Counsel, and a presentation about floodplain and shoreland zoning. The workshop will provide information about the procedures and legal standards that apply to zoning boards, and leave plenty of time to discuss local issues. The workshop will also feature several interactive exercises including round table discussions, a mock zoning board hearing, and Q&A by a panel of attornerys.
