Oconto County is served by the Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission which received a $76,600 grant in 2001, and a $98,500 grant in 2002.
In 2000, The Town of Gillett received a $2,250 grant and the Town of Little River received a $3,750 grant.
In 2001 The Town of Gillett received a $7,750 grant, the City of Gillett received a $10,000 grant, the Town of How received a $10,000 grant, the Town of Maple Valley received a $9,000 grant, the Town of Oconto received a $6,250 grant, and the Town of Underhill received a $10,000 grant. |

Wisconsin has nine State Forests (Wow!): Brule River, Northern
Highland-American Legion, Peshtigo River, Governor Knowles, Black River,
Flambeau River, Coulee Experimental, Point Beach and Kettle Moraine
(North & South units).
