The Pointers played host to eleven other teams, including conference rivals La Crosse, Oshkosh, Eau Claire, Whitewater, and Stout. Once again, a provisional mark was set by Jesse Drake in the 5000. This time, however, he was accompanied by Dan Schwamberger, who's time ranks 7th all-time. Tony Asay also reached the provisonal time in the 55 Hurdles two join Shawn Moretti in that event. His time ranks him 8th best ever in Pointer annals. Mike Hamilton made his move from the long jump to the track this week a successful one, running the 200 in the 6th fastest time in school history. Firsts were taken by Chris Horvat in the 600 and the unattached Jesse Maynard in the pole vault. Seconds were awarded to Dan Schwamberger in the 5000, Tony Asay in the 55 hurdles, Jason Kelly in the 200 hurdles, Al Tepp in the triple jump, and the 4-by-200 meter relay. Thirds were earned by Shawn Moretti in the 55, and Will Porter in the long jump. The Pointers now will travel to Oshkosh once again for the last tune-up before the conference meet.
