The Pointers traveled to Oshkosh to face conference foes UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater. The meet started poorly for the Pointers squad as freshman standout Jeff Jagla suffered a pulled hamstring in the 55 meter dash. Many stepped their competition level up a notch as the conference meet nears. Will Porter provisionally qualified in the long jump with a distance of 7.04 meters. Shawn Moretti went provisional once again in the 55 meter hurdles as well. In the weight throw, Josh Keim, Jason Wagner, and Luke Hilgers assulted the record books, placing 8th, 10th, and 11th in Pointer annals, respectively. Matt Hayes also improved his mark in the record books in the 1000 meters, moving up to a tie for third all-time with the time of 2:27.18. Firsts were captured by Curt Kazcor in the 600 and Shawn Moretti in the 55 meter hurdles. Seconds were taken by Josh Keim in the weight throw,Will Porter in the long and triple jumps, Matt Hayes in the 1000, Ben Treptow in the 800, and Jeremy Wadzinski in the pole vault. Thirds were grabbed by Mike Hamilton in the long jump, Eric Miller in the 400, and Chris Horvat in the 800. The Pointers now prepare for a home meet against UW-Oshkosh and defending conference champion UW-La Crosse.
