The Pointers came out running in the Eastbay Invitational, as four athletes recorded provisional marks. Shawn Moretti and Mike Hamilton once again reached the mark in the 55 hurdles and the long jump, respectively. Jesse Drake got it done in the 5000, and Matt Hayes made it in the 1500. Top ten performances were put in by Josh Keim in the weight throw, Jeff Jagla in the 200, along with Matt's and Jesse's provisional marks. First places were taken by Shawn Moretti in the 55 and 200 hurdles, Matt Hayes in the 1500, Jeff Jagla in the 200, Curt Kaczor in the 800, and Mike Hamilton in the long jump. The Pointers eventually won the meet with 164 points to UW-Eau Claire's 102.5 and UW-Platteville's 100. UW-Stout rounded out the top five with a score of 86.5. The Pointers will now travel to Oshkosh for their first road trip of the year. Conference foe UW-Whitewater will also be on hand.
