UW-Stevens Point Falls to UW-Eau Claire
Emily Bouche rolled to a victory at No. 3
singles for UW-Stevens Point's lone victory in an 8-1 women's tennis loss
to UW-Eau Claire on Friday in Stevens Point.
Bouche defeated Liz Deprey 6-0, 6-4 for the
victory. Angie Brown also had a tight match for the Pointers, falling to
Kristie Carlson 6-3, 7-5 at No. 2 singles.
All three doubles matches were close-fought
victories for the Blugolds as Allison Popple and Sarah O'Melia had the
Pointers' best performance with an 8-6 loss at No. 3 doubles.
The Pointers, who are now 4-3 overall and 0-2
in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, host UW-La Crosse on
Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
