Pointers Post Highest National Finish Since 2001

UW-Stevens Point achieved its highest finish at the NCAA Division III women�s swimming and diving championships since 2001 with a 10th place performance at this weekend�s championships in Minneapolis.

Caitlin Hake finished off Saturday�s competition with her second All-American performance of the weekend, placing sixth in the 100-yard freestyle at 52.58 seconds. Jennie Roskopf added a 13th place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:24.77.

 Hake also joined Beth Bard, Jerica Crook and Kelsey Crunstedt for an eighth place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:38.68.

Emory (Ga.) won the national title with 428 points, edging Kenyon (Ohio) by 10 points in the closest meet ever. UW-Stevens Point had 128 points and finished one point behind ninth place Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (Calif.).
