Boelk Captures
WIAC Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year Awards
For the second straight year, UW-Stevens
Point�s Al Boelk has been awarded both the men�s and women�s coach of
the year awards from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Boelk led the men�s team to its seventh straight title and guided the
women to their first championship since 2001. In just nine seasons as
head coach, Boelk has won 11 coach of the year awards and 11 conference
championships.
It is the fourth straight
year Boelk has won the men�s coach of the year honor and seventh time in
the past nine seasons. The women�s award was the fourth of Boelk�s
career.
