Softball Team Ranked 25th in NCAA

NFCA Top 25 Poll
For the first time since the 2000 season, the UW-Stevens Point softball
team landed a spot in the NCAA Division III rankings by the National
Fastpitch Coaches Association, earning a No. 25 ranking in this week�s
poll.
UW-Stevens Point is currently 21-8 overall and riding a six-game
winning streak entering this weekend�s Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference cluster in River Falls.
The Pointers are 7-4 in the conference and in third place. They play
five games this weekend, including contests against UW-Superior and
15th-ranked UW-Eau Claire on Saturday. UW-Stevens Point is two games
behind UW-Eau Claire in the standings entering the final weekend of the
season.
Washington (Mo.) is 41-1 overall and the nation�s top-ranked team in
the poll. |
