SHEBOYGAN - Stephanie Anderson put in a full day's work Tuesday.

She threw a three-hit shutout in the opening game and picked up a save in the second game as the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point softball team swept a doubleheader from Lakeland College by 4-0 and 7-6 scores.

Anderson had four strikeouts and walked one in her third shutout of the season. She also allowed one hit in the seventh inning to close out the second game as the Pointers improved to 15-17 overall.

Jenni Van Cuyk was 2-for-3 and drove in a run in the opener. Jenny Feidt added a run-scoring single.

In the nightcap, Mandy Jellish, Abby Bartz and Jackie Berger all collected two hits.

Stevens Point native Rebekah Bauer also had two hits in the second game and had a triple in each game to give her 21 extra base hits for the season, which is one short of the single-season school record.

The Pointers are scheduled to play five games at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Ath-letic Conference cluster this weekend in La Crosse.
