Weise Lands WIAC
and National Weekly Honors
After scoring five goals in two matches last
week, UW-Stevens Point women�s soccer player Kaylee Weise has landed
both conference and national weekly honors.
The sophomore forward from Brookfield East High School was named the
Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference offensive player of the
week and was also selected to the 11-member NCAA Division III team of
the week by D3kicks.com.
Weise notched three goals and an assist in the
Pointers� 5-0 win over Carroll on Thursday and then added two more goals
in Saturday�s 5-0 triumph over Lawrence. She currently leads the WIAC in
scoring with seven goals and two assists for 16 points.
The Pointers are currently 4-1-1 overall and
open conference play on Wed., Sept. 20 at UW-Oshkosh at 6 p.m.
