Prawat's Overtime Goal Lifts Pointers Past Stout

Amanda Prawat scored with 21 seconds left in the
first overtime to lift the UW-Stevens Point women�s soccer team to a 1-0
victory over previously undefeated UW-Stout on Saturday in Menomonie.
Prawat took an assist from Ali Havlik for her
sixth goal of the season after the teams played a scoreless tie through 90
minutes of regulation. The sudden-victory goal came at the end of the
first of two 10-minute overtime stanzas.
UW-Stevens Point improved to 6-0-2 over its last
eight overtime matches. The Pointers owned a 16-11 edge in shots,
including a 9-3 advantage in the first half and both shots in overtime.
Meredith DeCaluwe made six saves as the UW-Stevens Point defense posted
its fourth shutout of the season in improving to 5-2-1 overall and 2-0-1
in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. UW-Stout fell to
4-1-2 overall.
