Soccer Shuts Out Edgewood For Third Straight Win

Andrea Oswald and Molly Cady were a part of all four goals and each had a goal and an assist to lead the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Edgewood Wednesday night in Madison.

The victory was the third straight for the Pointers and improved their record to 9-4 overall for the season.

Oswald scored the Pointers' first goal of the night with an assist from Jenny Bruce and Cady assisted Renee DeBroux on a goal for a 2-0 halftime lead. Oswald opened the second half by feeding Andrea Spiel for a goal to put the Pointers ahead 3-0 and Cady finished the scoring with an unassisted goal.

Abby Rabinovitz and Brianna Hyslop split the shutout for the Pointers. Rabinovitz extended her shutout streak to 499:04 and hasn't allowed a goal in 11 straight matches.

The Pointers travel to UW-Eau Claire for a WIAC showdown with the 9-2 Blugolds Saturday at 1 p.m.
