TRACK AND FIELD

The Pointers concluded the season by competing at the NCAA Division III outdoor championships in Canton, N.Y. UW-Stevens Point�s men�s team placed 23rd overall, while the women placed 35th.

Three men�s athletes and two women�s competitors earned All-American honors for the Pointers by finishing in the top eight of their respective events.

Noah Eschenbauch (Rosholt, WI) was second in the hammer throw at 194 feet and Mark Wierzba (Rosholt, WI) placed seventh in the hammer at 181 feet. Jesse Baumann (Verona, WI) was seventh in the 1500 meter run at 3:50.07.

On the women�s side, Amanda Nechuta (Mosinee, WI) was third in the shot put at 46 feet, six inches. Also, Melissa Seefeldt (Cato, WI) was eighth in the hammer throw at 167 feet, two inches.

2002-03 SUMMARY
