Czys Repeats as WIAC Player of the Week
UW-Stevens Point football player Brandon Czys
earned the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of
the week award for the second consecutive contest after his performance in
the Pointers' 20-19 win at UW-Stout last weekend.
Czys, a senior linebacker from Mauston, duplicated his defensive Player of
the Week award from the previous game after totaling 18 tackles last week at
UW-Stout, marking the highest single-game total in the league this season.
Czys had 12 tackles the
previous week against UW-Platteville and finished the year with double
figures in tackles over each of the last six games. He led the WIAC with 108
tackles for the season, including 89 in league games.
