Childs Throws
Touchdown in Aztec Bowl Victory
UW-Stevens Point senior running back Cody Childs
never attempted a pass during his four-year career with the Pointers, but
completed his first career throw for a touchdown on Saturday in helping the
United States to a 28-7 victory over the Mexican National Team in the Aztec
Bowl Division III all-star game in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
Childs completed a 10-yard halfback option pass back to quarterback and game
Most Valuable Player Andy Collins of Occidental (Calif.) with 11:18 left in
the fourth quarter for the final score of Saturdays game.
Childs also rushed four times for 14 yards in the
game. He carried on the teams second play of the game and had an eight-yard
