Berg Earns
Conference and National Honors
UW-Stevens Point football player Lincoln Berg was
named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference defensive player of
the week and also earned selection to the national �team of the week� for
his performance last weekend.
Berg, a senior linebacker for the football team, was named to the
D3football.com team of the week, becoming the first Pointers' player to
receive the award this season.
Berg, an Edgar native, had two sacks causing
fumbles that were both returned for touchdowns in the Pointers� 27-24
overtime win over UW-Oshkosh on Saturday. He returned one himself for a
25-yard touchdown and also finished with a career-high and team-leading 13
tackles. |
