A long punt return and a pair of key stops by the
UW-Oshkosh defense lifted the Titans past UW-Stevens Point 23-20 on Saturday
at Titan Stadium.
Trailing by five points with less than seven
minutes remaining, UW-Oshkoshs Andy Heiman returned a UW-Stevens Point punt
67 yards to the Pointers one-yard line, setting up a one-yard touchdown run

plays, stopping the Pointers on a third-and-15 play from the Titans 49-yard
line with 4:29 left and forcing four straight incomplete passes with 57
seconds left to preserve the victory.
The win gives UW-Oshkosh a 6-1 overall mark its
best seven-game record since 1935 and its first six-win season since 1976.
At 3-1 in league play, the Titans have rallied in the fourth quarter to win

touchdown strike to Kilton. Following a missed extra point, the Pointers
held a 7-6 lead.

and the Pointers led 20-15.
