Robinson Selected
to First-Team All-Region Squad
UW-Stevens Point junior defensive lineman Dan
Robinson has been selected to the Football Gazette first-team All-West
Region squad after leading the Pointers in tackles this past season.
Robinson, a Florence native, who was also a
first-team All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference performer,
ranked second in the WIAC with seven sacks and 15.5 tackles for loss. He led
the Pointers and ranked third in the conference with 95 total tackles,
including 60 solo stops while recording at least seven tackles in every
game. It was Robinson�s first season as a starter after totaling seven
tackles, including three sacks, all of last season.
UW-Stevens Point suffered four losses in its first
five games to teams ranked in the top 10 of the country at one point of the
year as the Pointers finished 4-6 overall. UW-Stevens Point won its final
two games to finish 3-4 in the WIAC. |
