Flesch Named to
National Team of the Week
UW-Stevens Point senior cornerback Jared Flesch
has been named to the D3football.com team of the week after leading the team
in tackles and recording an interception in the Pointers� season-opening
loss to Hardin-Simmons (Texas).
A Pulaski native, Flesch collected 12 tackles, including 10 solo stops, in
the loss. He also had an interception in the endzone late in the first half.
Flesch was the only Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player
selected to the first team of the season.
The Pointers are off this week
before returning to face defending national champion Linfield on Sept. 17 in
McMinnville, Ore. |
