Dickert Named WIAC
Offensive Player of the Week
UW-Stevens Point junior wide receiver Jacob Dickert has been named the
Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football offensive Player of
the Week after posting his third straight 100-yard receiving game in the
Pointers� 38-26 win over UW-Stout on Saturday.
Dickert, a Kohler native, caught six passes for
126 yards and a game-clinching 10-yard touchdown with 1:04 remaining in the
game. The touchdown came following a diving 35-yard reception by Dickert on
a third-and-14 play to the 13-yard line with two minutes remaining.
For the season, Dickert, a backup quarterback his
first two seasons, led the Pointers with 47 catches for 786 yards. He ranked
fourth in the league in receiving yards and sixth in receptions. |
