Krause Captains USA Aztec Bowl Team in Loss
to Mexico

quarterback Scott Krause was elected team captain and finished with 74 yards
of total offense for the United States Division III all-star squad in
Saturday�s 34-31 loss to the Mexican National Team in Cancun, Mexico.
Krause was five-for-10
passing for 54 yards and also rushed four times for 20 yards. He had a
21-yard quarterback draw on a third-and-19 play in the second quarter. The
United States led 31-13 after three quarters before Mexico rallied with 21
fourth quarter points for its first win in the seven-year history of playing
the Division III all-stars.
Krause was the fifth
UW-Stevens Point player to take part in the game and the first to be
selected as a team captain. He was voted captain by his teammates along with
quarterback Tyler Matthews of Linfield (Ore.), linebacker Graham Goldwasser
of Williams (Mass.) and defensive end Jarrod Smith of Trinity (Texas). |
