Jablonski Named WIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week
UW-Stevens Point freshman Kelly Jablonski has been named the Wisconsin
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball Pitcher of the Week after
throwing a no-hitter in the Pointers� victory over Milwaukee School of
Engineering on Sunday.
Jablonski�s five-inning performance was the 11th no-hitter in school
history. She allowed only one baserunner, coming on a catcher�s
interference call in the fourth inning.
The
former Stevens Point Area Senior High standout is enjoying an outstanding
start to her freshman season, compiling a 0.22 earned run average by
giving up just one earned run in 32 innings pitched. She has struck out 23
batters while walking three. |
