Picture (160x211, 19.9Kb)Randall, a Wisconsin Rapids native, is the third UW-Stevens Point student-athlete to earn an Academic All-American honor this year and is the only Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference representative on the womens at-large team.

The team includes all female athletes from Division II, Division III and NAIA in all sports except volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball and track and field.

Randall joins basketball player Kari Groshek and soccer player Jenny Bruce as Academic All-Americans from the 2001-02 school year. Groshek and Bruce were both second-team selections in their respective sports. Randall is 16th Academic All-American in school history and the 13th UW-Stevens Point selection in the past three seasons. She is the second womens swimmer in school history to earn the honor, joining Becca Uphoff, who was a third-team selection in 2000.

Randall, a Lincoln High School graduate, carries a 3.98 GPA in Actuarial Science. She has been a member of six first-team All-American and eight conference champion relay teams. Randall has also swam on four honorable mention All-American relay teams and has been a part of two conference championship teams during her three seasons with the Pointers.

This past season, she won conference titles in the 200 yard and 400 yard freestyle relays and the 200 yard medley relay. She anchored the 200 medley team to an eighth place finish and All-American honor at the NCAA Division III championships as the Pointers finished 11th in the country.
