Randy
Reed (Appleton,
WI/East) � The senior centerfielder had a huge week, leading the Pointers
to five victories. Reed was 17-for-39 at the plate for a batting average of
.436. He hit three doubles, a triple and four home runs to finish the week
with 13 RBI�s. His triple on Wednesday against UW-Platteville was the
sixth of his career, setting a new school record. Baseball

Jeremy
Mueller (Waukesha,
WI/Kettle Moraine) � The sophomore right-handed pitcher earned a save in
Sunday�s 9-4 victory over UW-La Crosse. Mueller entered the game in a
two-out, bases loaded jam in the seventh inning, but got the next Eagle
hitter to fly out to left field. Mueller then finished the final two
innings. For the week, Mueller threw six and one-third innings giving up
just six hits and no earned runs. Softball

Schumacher (Milwaukee,
WI/Wisconsin Lutheran) � The freshman infielder batted .563 at the WIAC
Cluster Tournament in Whitewater this weekend. Schumacher was nine-for-16
with four doubles and a home run in Whitewater. For the week, she batted
.524 (11-for-21) with five RBI�s over seven games. Softball

Karen
Guckenberger (South
Milwaukee, WI/South Milwaukee) � The junior pitcher notched the 37th, 38th
and 39th wins of her career to become UW-Stevens Point�s all-time
winningest pitcher. Guckenberger won games over UW-Whitewater, UW-River
Falls and UW-La Crosse to break the record. For the week, she allowed just
four earned runs over 33 and one-third innings, striking out 32 hitters. She
had four complete games and two shutout victories. Men�s

Seeley (Ringle,
WI/D.C. Everest) � The sophomore runner recorded his first ever win a
college race at the Cardinal Classic in Naperville, Illinois. Seeley broke
his own personal record by nearly 20 seconds in winning the 5,000 meters in
a time of 15:10.79. The Pointers claimed the team championship at the meet. Men�s

Dreger (Cambria,
WI) � The sophomore won the javelin at the Cardinal Classic in Naperville,
Illinois. Dreger threw 54.28 meters (178� 1��) to outdistance teammate
Jeremiah Rolfs by almost six meters. Women�s
Track Events
Becky
Lebak (Burlington,
WI) � The senior runner turned in a school record and the third best time
in country this season at the Cardinal Classic in Naperville, Illinois.
Lebak won the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:14.72, breaking Kris Hoel�s
1988 school record by more than five seconds. Her time automatically
qualified her for the NCAA III Outdoor Championships. Women�s

Butkowski (Stevens
Point, WI) � The senior won the triple jump at the Cardinal Classic. Her
leap of 11.69 meters (38� 4.25��) was a personal record and a
provisional qualifier for the NCAA Championships. She also ran on the second
place 4 x 100 meter relay and the third place 4 x 400 meter relay. |
